Someone’s Pet Cemetery in the Woods of Genesee

Of the 3 crosses, one didn’t look like there was anything on it and another was dated 2001 and the third was dated 2005, so they’ve been here a while.

An Apple Tree at Evergreen Lake!

I wouldn’t have believed it myself had I not actually walked up to it and picked an apple! Of course, it’s so close to the road and the apples don’t look too great, but it’s there, and apparently has been there for many years. There are a lot of dead branches lower down, and it’s obviously not been taken care of.

It’s Pumpkin Time!

We had planned on going to Chatfield, but decided to go to JP total and find some pumpkins. As always, they have a lot of nice pumpkins of all shapes and sizes along with gourds and some really delicious Apple Cider from Palisade.

The Bear Came Back

Mt. Evans Elk Management Area

Then we saw the Mt. Evans Elk Management Area highlighted online. We’d never heard of this and thought it would be a really fun place to check out. We weren’t disappointed.
